A keratin treatment offers semi-permanent straightening for Afro textured hair and last approximately 6 weeks before the treated section of the hair returns back to its natural texture. A texturiser, on the other hand, offers a more permanent solution to straightening unruly and frizzy hair. A root re-touch is necessary during new growth in order to keep texture from the root to middle lengths same.
